Age Verification Guide
If online age verification is requested and you are paying by Visa or Mastercard credit card for age-restricted items, your age is verified through your credit card and via your bank's One-Time Password (OTP) process.
If using a payment method other than a Visa or Mastercard credit card, we verify your age online by asking you to provide your legal name and permanent UK address during checkout, and having those details checked by a third-party ID verification service.
Note: Currently, items requiring online age verification can't be purchased using gift cards, Pay by Bank, or Instalments. The name entered must be your legal name, which matches the information on your selected payment method as registered with your bank account. You’ll also be required to submit a One-Time Password issued by your bank.

In addition to the verification steps above, if you log in with Facebook, you may also need to verify your age directly in your Facebook account.
